Mark Cohen, MD, FACS, FSSO, MAMSE, is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of bioengineering and surgery, currently serving as the Founder Professor of Bioengineering at The Grainger College of Engineering and Dean at Carle Illinois College of Medicine. In addition, Mark holds the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Academic Officer at Carle Health. Mark's previous experience includes a significant tenure at the University of Michigan, where Mark directed the Center for Surgical Innovation and contributed to numerous leadership roles in surgery and biomedical engineering. Mark earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
