Samir Kurudi

Samir Kurudi is a dedicated bioengineering and biomedical engineering student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expected to graduate in December 2026. Currently, Samir serves as a Biometrics and Computer Engineering Intern at BiometerPlus, contributing to the development of biometric devices and software solutions while also volunteering at Carle Health's Cardiovascular Medicine/Surgery Department. Notable experiences include participation in the Cancer Scholars Program at the Cancer Center at Illinois, outreach efforts as the Social Outreach Chair for the Biomedical Engineering Society, and research roles in Dr. Dave Zhao's lab focused on genomic biology. Previous positions include roles in retail and internships involving cell science and medical research. Samir has a strong commitment to advancing healthcare through engineering solutions and has presented at academic symposiums.
