Ariq Alam

Ariq Alam is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in library management and procurement, currently serving as the Manager of Library Facilities & Procurement at Carleton University since September 2014. Ariq has held several roles at Carleton University, including Partnership Officer and Research Administrator, contributing to library services, procurement processes, and student recruitment. In July 2023, Ariq became an Infantry Officer in the Governor General’s Foot Guards, the senior reserve infantry regiment in Canada. Prior to joining Carleton University, Ariq worked at R.A. Malatest & Associates Ltd. as a Survey House Supervisor and Field Supervisor, where responsibilities included training coordination, project management, and data collection. Academic qualifications include an MBA from Sprott School of Business at Carleton University and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Carleton University.
