Emma Bowie

Director, Communications at Carleton University

Emma Bowie, MCM has extensive experience in communications and strategic initiatives. Emma is currently the Director of Communications at Carleton University. Prior to this, Emma held multiple roles at Skate Canada/Patinage Canada, including Director of Communications and Strategic Initiatives, Director of Safe Sport and Strategic Communications, and Manager of Communications. Emma also worked as a Public Relations Coordinator at Skate Canada/Patinage Canada. Emma has also worked as a Media Attaché for the Canadian Olympic Committee for various events including the 2019 PanAm Games and the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Public Relations Assistant at Porter Novelli and as a Communications Intern at the Ottawa 67's Hockey Club and Right To Play.

Emma Bowie, MCM obtained a 3 Year Advanced Diploma in Public Relations from Durham College in 2006. Emma then pursued a McMaster-Syracuse Master of Communications Management (MCM) degree from McMaster University between 2018 and 2021.
