Hannah Johnston

Hannah Johnston is currently a PhD student and researcher at Carleton University, focusing on artificial intelligence systems for creative applications. With a strong background in education, Hannah has served as an instructor for various web development and multimedia design courses at both Algonquin College and Carleton University. Prior to the academic roles, extensive professional experience includes a decade at Google, where Hannah held positions as a Senior User Experience Design Lead, managing design efforts for Google Cloud products, and as a User Experience Designer for Google Search. Earlier career roles also include a teaching assistantship at Carleton University and a design internship at Google News. Hannah Johnston holds a Master of Science in Information Systems Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with a focus on Interactive Multimedia and Design, both from Carleton University.
