Julie Furber

Julie Furber serves as the Learning and Writing Services Coordinator at Carleton University since August 2020, focusing on student academic support. Prior to this role, Julie accumulated extensive teaching experience as an English Language Program Instructor at the University of Calgary Continuing Education and as a LINC and ESL Instructor at Bow Valley College. Additionally, Julie contributed as a Website Development and Social Media Coordinator for Beneath the Arch Concert Series and as a Private Language Consultant with ESL4WORK Inc. Early career highlights include serving as an Assistant Language Teacher in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program and working as a Radio Disc Jockey at CKXU 88.3 FM. Julie holds a Master of Education with a focus on Inclusive Education and English as an Additional Language, a Teaching Second Language Certificate specializing in ESL, and a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
