Ritu Verma

Ritu Verma is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in anthropology and development. Currently serving as an Adjunct Research Professor at Carleton University since July 2022, Ritu Verma has also held the position of Associate Professor at the Royal University of Bhutan, where Ritu Verma is the founder and co-programme leader of a PhD programme in anthropology. Ritu Verma's impact extends through various roles, including Director and Founder of Out of the Box Research and Action, and serving as a research scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles. Ritu Verma has contributed as a Principal Investigator for projects focused on Indigenous Knowledge and climate change, and has held significant positions within organizations such as the Asian Development Bank and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development. Ritu Verma holds a Ph.D. from SOAS University of London and has degrees in International Affairs and Civil Engineering from Carleton University and McGill University, respectively.
