Laura Bodensteiner has a diverse professional background in education and marine biology. Since January 2018, Laura has served as both an elementary school teacher and a librarian for the Carlsbad Unified School District. Additionally, Laura is the owner of Tickled Plum, a position held since June 2007. Prior experience includes working as a Kelp Project Biologist for Santa Monica Baykeeper from August 2005 to May 2007. Academic achievements include a B.S. in Marine Biology from UCLA, a Master's degree in Marine Sciences from San Jose State University, and a Master's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Western Governors University.
