Lars Egstrøm Kristensen currently serves as a Scientific Officer at the Carlsberg Foundation since March 2023. Prior to this position, Lars held various academic roles at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from March 2016 to March 2023, including Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, where responsibilities included leading a research team, developing statistical models, supervising students, and coordinating international collaborations. Lars's previous research experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and a position as a Post-doctoral researcher at Leiden Observatory, where Lars led international research teams. Lars holds dual Ph.D. degrees in Astrophysics from Observatoire de Paris-Meudon and CY Cergy Paris Université, as well as a Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Astronomy from Aarhus University. Notable accomplishments include securing a research grant of 9.4 MDKK and developing software solutions for telescope data analysis.
