Jade Sommers has a diverse work experience. Jade has been a member of SDSU Mechatronics since 2017, a Manufacturing Engineer Intern for L3 Technologies since 2018, a Research Assistant for Scripps Institution of Oceanography since 2018, the President and Outreach Officer for Society of Women Engineers- San Diego State University since 2018, a Co-Founder of Farm Hand since 2020, a STEM Instructor for Engineering For Kids since 2019, a MakerSpace Graduate Teaching Assistant for NYU MakerSpace since 2021, a Divemaster for Beyond Land Adventures since 2020, and a Development Engineer for Carlsmed, Inc. since 2022. Additionally, they are currently the Public Relations Chair for Society of Women Engineers - San Diego (SWE-SD).
