Director Of Development at Carmell Therapeutics

Emily Gall, PhD has a diverse work experience. Emily began their career in 2009 as a Physical Science Technician at the CDC NIOSH NPPTL. In 2011, they took on multiple roles at the University of Pittsburgh, including a NIH NIBIB T32 Fellow, a PhD Student Researcher, a Biotransport Teaching Assistant, and a Cell Biology Teaching Assistant. That same year, they also became the Lab Safety Manager at Little Lab. In 2015, Emily took on an Orthopedics Clinical Internship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Finally, in 2016, they joined Carmell Therapeutics as the Director of Development, and later took on the roles of Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer. In their role as Principal Engineer, Emily served as the technical lead for product development processes and manufacturing scale-up, and managed the laboratory team in the development of specifications for final product and intermediates. As Senior Engineer, Emily researched and developed plasma-based biomaterials for tissue regeneration applications.

Emily Gall holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, which they obtained in 2015. Prior to this, they received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2011. Emily also holds an Academic Entrepreneurship Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business.
