Farhad Asghar has extensive experience in education and development, currently serving as a Program Officer for the Pathways to Postsecondary Success at the Carnegie Corporation of New York since December 2018, where oversight focuses on grantmaking to enhance K-16 pathways for student success. Previously, Asghar held roles at The College Board, including Executive Director of Access to Opportunity Community Partnerships and Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, where efforts centered on maximizing college and career access for low-income and underrepresented students. Prior to that, Asghar spent over a decade at Bank Street College in various leadership positions, including Associate Vice President for Development & External Relations, contributing significantly to fundraising initiatives. Asghar holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Secondary Education from Brooklyn College.
