James McKeon

James McKeon is an experienced professional in nuclear security and policy, currently serving as a Program Officer at the Carnegie Corporation of New York since September 2024. Prior to this role, James worked at the Nuclear Threat Initiative as a Senior Program Officer and Program Officer from April 2019 to August 2024, focusing on nuclear policy and transnational proliferation. James's previous positions include Policy Analyst at the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation and Political Director at the Council for a Livable World from January 2016 to April 2019, as well as Project Coordinator at Potomac Communications Group and Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow at The Stimson Center. James has also gained experience as an intern in the Office of Presidential Correspondence at the White House and as a Parliamentary Researcher for the House of Commons, specializing in UK defense and nuclear policy.
