Darshana Mozinder Baruah is a prominent expert in maritime security and international relations, currently serving as a Fellow, Associate Fellow, and Nonresident Scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace since June 2019 and as a Visiting Fellow at the Sasakawa Peace Foundation Japan. Previously, Darihana held roles at Carnegie India from June 2016 to May 2019, including Associate Director and Senior Research Analyst, and also contributed to research at the Australian National University/Australian Parliament as a National Parliamentary Research Fellow in early 2016. Earlier experience includes a Junior Fellow position at the Observer Research Foundation, focusing on maritime security and project management, and internships at IDSA and WWF-India. Darshana holds a Master's degree in International Relations from Cardiff University, obtained in 2012.
