Carmen Echevarria

Carmen Echevarria currently serves as Chief of Staff at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, a position held since July 2024. Prior to this role, Carmen was Chief of Staff at The Academy Group, Inc. from February 2017 to July 2024. Carmen's experience also includes serving as Senior Project Manager in the Greater Chicago Area from October 2014 to February 2017, and holding various positions at Hyatt Hotels Corporation between September 2011 and October 2014, including Legal Coordinator and Administrative Assistant. Earlier in the career, Carmen was an Executive Assistant and Catering Administrative Assistant at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place from March 2007 to September 2011. Carmen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Sociology minor from DePaul University (2001-2005) and a Master of Arts in Inner City Studies from Northeastern Illinois University (2008-2010).
