Valeria Cavazos has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Valeria began their career as a Client Services Representative at Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida in 2003. Valeria then moved on to work as an Assistant Director at MoveOn.org in 2004, where they directed fundraising and GOTV efforts. In 2005, Valeria became a Canvass Manager at ACORN, managing employee on-boarding and training, and organizing issue campaigns. Valeria then served as the Director of Operations at the New York Agency for Community Affairs from 2006 to 2008, overseeing operational activities and grants administration. Valeria also worked as an English Language Instructor at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education from 2008 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they were an HR Manager at Creative Commons, managing recruitment, benefits administration, and performance management. Valeria's most recent position was as the Director of Human Resources at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, where they were responsible for HR processes and initiatives.
