Dylan Odell

Dylan Odell is a skilled research assistant with experience spanning various prestigious institutions. Currently working at the Carnegie Institution for Science since March 2022, Dylan leads a team of undergraduate researchers in the Fan lab, focusing on the impacts of reduced gravity and plyometric training on knee joint articular cartilage in mice. Prior research experience includes positions at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where contributions were made in the Kadam and Dawson labs, investigating various aspects of pathology in mice models. Additional experience includes a research assistant role at the Medical University of South Carolina and serving as an exhibit guide at the South Carolina Aquarium, where environmental conservation education was emphasized. Dylan Odell holds a degree from The Johns Hopkins University and graduated from Academic Magnet High School in 2019.
