Julia Baer

Julia Baer currently serves as the Aquatic Facilities Manager at the Carnegie Institution for Science, where responsibilities include overseeing a biomedical research facility housing a diverse collection of aquatic species, managing multiple research teams, maintaining system records, and supervising employees. Prior experience at the New England Aquarium as Aquarist II involved managing volunteers, maintaining exhibit records, and engaging with the public. Earlier internships at the New England Aquarium focused on animal care, feeding, and maintenance across various departments. Julia Baer holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Richmond and has also interned with the Sierra Club, where responsibilities included volunteer management and public outreach.
