Karlyn Voss has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. Karlyn started their career in 1994 at the City of Pittsburgh, where they worked in the Office of Management and Budget until 2001. In 2001, they joined the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh as the Director of the Office of External & Government Relations.

Karlyn Voss began their education in 1985 at Gettysburg College, where they pursued a degree in Political Science. Karlyn successfully completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 1989. Later, from 1992 to 1994, they attended the University of Pittsburgh, although it is not known if they obtained any degree or field of study during that time.
