Rawan Abbasi

Rawan Abbasi currently serves as the Assistant Director for Communications at the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, a role beginning in October 2023, where responsibilities include managing communication strategies and supporting partnerships and advocacy initiatives. Previously, Rawan held the position of Communications Manager at UNC Global Affairs from August 2018 to October 2023, focusing on program promotion through targeted communications across various platforms. Earlier experiences include positions as an Administrative Support Associate and Communications Intern at UNC, as well as an internship at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. Rawan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy with a Minor in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earned in 2020.
