Brian Fodrey

Brian Fodrey is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education technology and administration. Currently serving as Assistant Vice President for Business Innovation at Carnegie Mellon University since February 2021, Fodrey leads enterprise-level initiatives focused on process improvements, digital transformation, and organizational efficiency. Previously, Fodrey held the position of Chief Information Officer and Vice Provost for Educational Technology at Stevenson University, managing IT operations across multiple campuses for over 5,000 students and 600 faculty and staff. With a background as Assistant Dean of Information Technology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Fodrey coordinated technology services for both the School of Government and the School of Law. Fodrey also has teaching experience at institutions such as Des Moines Area Community College and Iowa State University, along with a strong educational foundation that includes degrees from Kent State University and Drake University in instructional technology and organizational performance.
