Maggie Braun serves as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs at Carnegie Mellon University's Mellon College of Science since October 2008, where responsibilities include being the primary academic advisor for first-year science and math majors and leading the Committee for Undergraduate Affairs to enhance college-wide programming and curricular reform. Additionally, Maggie Braun holds the title of Director of MCS Core Education and Associate Teaching Professor, overseeing the core education of all MCS students since Fall 2015, advising students in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematical Sciences, and Physics. Prior experience includes serving as the Assistant Department Head for Undergraduate Affairs and Assistant Teaching Professor in Biological Sciences and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute focused on cancer cell models. Maggie Braun earned a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Youngstown State University.
