Valerie Yocco Rossi

Valerie Yocco Rossi currently serves as the Manager of Education and Student Programming at Carnegie Mellon University, a role commenced in July 2023 that focuses on developing broad training and educational programs for diverse learners. Prior to this, Valerie worked as a Content Specialist and Instructional Designer at Carnegie Learning from December 2021 to December 2024, leading professional development for language teachers. Valerie's experience also includes a tenure as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh from August 2017 to August 2023, where responsibilities included chairing the Advisory Committee and advising a student seminar. Earlier professional experience includes serving as a Teacher and World Language Department Curriculum Coordinator in the Franklin Regional School District from August 2005 to June 2017. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Spanish Language and Culture from New York University and two master’s degrees, along with a dual bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and Teaching and Spanish Language and Literature, from Duquesne University.
