Paloma Nieri Romero has a diverse work experience in the fields of architecture, urban planning, and research. Paloma currently works at CARNET as an Urban Planning Project Manager, where they lead various projects focused on urban mobility innovation. In this role, they have led the projects FOLLOW, Elderly on Track (ElTra), and Citython. Prior to this, Paloma worked at the London Borough of Sutton as an Economic Regeneration Officer, supporting several urban regeneration projects in Sutton with a focus on sustainability and carbon neutrality. In addition, they have worked as an Architect at Doble Altura Arquitectos S.A.C, a Volunteer Architect at the Ministerio de Cultura del Perú, and an Architectural Intern at Ruth Alvarado Arquitectos. Paloma also has research experience from their time as a Research Intern at Universidad de Lima, where they contributed to the research project "Catálogo de Arquitectura Moderna del Perú." Furthermore, they worked as a Private Tutor at Colegio Trener.
Paloma Nieri Romero's education history begins in 2011 when they obtained a DELF A1 certification from Alliance Française de Lima and a Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) C1 from Cambridge Assessment English. In the same year, they also earned MCAS 2007 Excel and Word certifications from Microsoft. In 2015, Paloma completed a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree from Università Iuav di Venezia. From 2011 to 2016, they pursued their Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree from the Universidad de Lima. Following that, they obtained an Architecture License from the Universidad de Lima between 2017 and 2018. In 2018, Paloma enrolled at UCL, where they pursued an MSc in Urban Regeneration until 2019. During the summer of 2019, they participated in the Urban Transformation Academic Summer Programme at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. Most recently, in 2021, Paloma started an MBArch in Contemporary Project at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
