Renee (Tong) Li has extensive experience in corporate law, private wealth, and financial regulations. Renee (Tong) began their career in 2008 as Operation Director at J&L Metals Trading LLC, where they managed and oversaw purchase and sales, logistics, and accounting. Renee (Tong) also expanded the company's market by acquiring international suppliers and buyers. In 2014, they interned at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, where they assisted two partners with launching the Pacific Rim M&A Institute (“PRMAI”) and maintained M&A news and blogs on PRMAI’s website. That same year, they also interned at King & Wood Mallesons, where they conducted due diligence and drafted reports for Huayi Brothers Media Corporation’s first private offering and Hony Capital and Goldman Sachs’s investment in Neusoft Corporation’s medical and healthcare assets. In 2015, they served as a Legal Extern at the State of Washington Department of Financial Institutions, where they assisted the General Counsel in efforts to reform the state banking law by conducting a comprehensive 50-state survey of state-chartered bank M&As, conversions, and regulatory rulemakings. Renee (Tong) also analyzed key issues in connection with a high-profile administrative appeal and conducted research and composed legal memoranda on various assigned issues regarding financial regulations. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as Of Counsel, Co-director of Private Wealth Practice at ZHONGSHENG LAW FIRM, where they advised high net-worth individuals on U. S. business formation, corporate governance, tax planning, real estate investment and financing, estate planning, etc. Most recently, in 2020, they co-founded a health-tech startup, Airpha, Inc., where they serve as General Counsel. In this role, they negotiate and drafts agreements on corporate formation and governance, stock acquisition, financing, commercial transactions, SaaS, professional services, etc. and supports product manufacturing, marketing, supply chain, and software development teams with extensive dealings with suppliers, customers, and service providers. In 2022, they joined Carney Badley Spellman, P.S. as a Corporate Associate.

Renee (Tong) Li has obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Washington School of Law in 2015, with a Law, Business, and Entrepreneurship Concentration Track. Renee (Tong) also has a Master's Degree from the University of Warwick in Politics from 2011, a Master's Degree from the University of San Francisco in Asia Pacific Studies from 2009, and a Bachelor's Degree from Nanjing Forestry University in English from 2007. In addition, Li has obtained certifications from Coursera in Privacy Law and HIPAA and U.S. Health Law Fundamentals in December 2021, Bar Admission from the Washington State Bar Association in October 2019, International Dispute Resolution Masterclass from UNCITRAL: United Nations Commission on International Trade Law in October 2016, Bar Admission (currently inactive) from the Illinois State Bar Association in May 2016, LexisNexis Professional Research Certification from LexisNexis, and WestlawNext Certification.
