Jody Pope has over 25 years of experience in inventory control, distribution, shipping, and customer service. In 2012, they began working at Carolina Foods, Inc. as the Distribution and Inventory Control Manager. In this role, they were accountable for shipping, receiving, storage, distribution, and inventory management of raw and finished goods. Jody designed and implemented new processes for inventory management and distribution, resulting in improved on-hand accuracy and reduced inventory shrink. Jody also had oversight of daily cycle counts and monthly physical inventory of raw and finished goods, managed DOT compliance and operation of company trucks, and increased productivity and morale by improving employee communication and engagement.
Prior to Carolina Foods, Inc., Jody worked at The Home Depot from 1993 to 2012. During their tenure, they held various roles, including Shipping and Receiving Manager, Inventory Management Specialist, Store Customer Service Manager, and Receiving Associate. As Shipping and Receiving Manager, they managed the shipping and receiving process for a store generating over $70M in annual sales. As Store Customer Service Manager, they managed the front end operations of the store, was responsible for the hiring, training, and retention of a team of four to six Front End Supervisors and 30 to 40 Cashiers, and evaluated and resolved customer issues and complaints, meeting corporate standards and assuring customer satisfaction and retention.
