Nigel Wheeler

Nigel Wheeler is currently the General Counsel at the Carolina Hurricanes. Prior to this, they were an Associate at Bracewell LLP from September 2015 to April 2020. Nigel has also worked as a Summer Associate at Bracewell & Giuliani LLP in May 2013 and again from May 2014 to July 2014. Nigel was a Student Attorney at the Community Legal Practice Center at Washington and Lee Law from August 2014 to May 2015. Nigel interned at the 162nd Judicial District Court in July 2014 and August 2014. Prior to their work in law, Nigel worked as a Reporter and Fill-In Anchor at WPEC from October 2001 to October 2004 and as a Reporter and Anchor at KXAS from October 2004 to October 2007.

Nigel Wheeler's educational career began with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Spanish and Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley. Nigel then went on to study abroad in Spain at the University of Valencia where they focused on Spanish and Iberian Studies. Nigel later returned to the United States to attend law school at Washington and Lee University School of Law, where they earned their JD in Real Estate.
