Ashley Jackson

Ashley Jackson, BSMT, MPH, CIC, currently serves as a Clinical Infection Prevention Consultant with the Statewide Program for Infection Control and Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since August 2020. With extensive experience as an Infection Preventionist at CarolinaEast Health System since July 2011, Ashley specializes in identifying infectious diseases, conducting outbreak investigations, educating various stakeholders on infection prevention, and developing policies and procedures. Previous roles include a Microbiology/Immunology Medical Technologist at Peninsula Regional Medical Center and a Public Health Epidemiologist Intern at Worcester County Health Department. Ashley holds multiple advanced degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and other institutions, including a Master’s degree in Public Health from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from Salisbury University.
