Crystal Maddox MD MPH FAAFP has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. Crystal began their career as a Hispanic Outreach Coordinator at the Substance Abuse Coalition of Pitt County in 2007. In 2008, they interned at The Cornerstone Ministries, Inc., where they worked on the HLHC Project to reduce cardiovascular disease among African Americans. Crystal Maddox MD MPH FAAFP obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Romance Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2001. Crystal then attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2002 to 2005. During this time, they pursued studies in Romance Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. After that, they attended East Carolina University from 2005 to 2010, where they earned both a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Medicine and Public Health respectively.
In 2018, Crystal Maddox enrolled in the East Carolina University - College of Business and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management.
In terms of certifications, Crystal Maddox has obtained several medical licenses, including those from Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Virginia, and South Carolina.
