Elise Schoonmaker Ms

Elise Schoonmaker has over a decade of experience in the field of perfusion. Elise is currently serving as the Chief Perfusionist at Carondelet Health Network, where they oversee the perfusion team. Prior to this, Elise worked as a Perfusionist at Carondelet Health Network from 2019 to 2020. Before joining Carondelet, they worked at Palo Verde Perfusion as a Perfusionist from 2013 to 2019. Elise also gained valuable experience as a Perfusionist at SpecialtyCare, Inc. from 2010 to 2013, where they covered multiple hospitals and worked with various surgeons. Elise has expertise in areas such as ECMO, minimally invasive surgery, robotically assisted MVR, and CABG. Elise's career in perfusion began at The University of Arizona, where they served as a Research Assistant from 2008 to 2010, focusing on the relationship between the immune system and heart function. Prior to that, they worked as a Donor Procurement Perfusion Assistant at The University of Arizona Health Network from 2008 to 2010.

Elise Schoonmaker earned a Master's degree in Medical Pharmacology from the University of Arizona from 2008 to 2010. During the same period, they also pursued a degree in Circulatory Science (Perfusion) from the same university. Prior to that, Elise Schoonmaker obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physiology, General from the University of Arizona, studying from 2002 to 2007.
