Jai Kumar

Jai Kumar, MPH, currently serves as Executive Vice President and Vice President of Strategy + Policy at CaroNova since January 2021. Prior experience includes multiple leadership roles at the North Carolina Healthcare Association from February 2017 to January 2025, where responsibilities spanned from Vice President of Innovation to Program Manager for Opioid Initiatives. Jai Kumar also held the position of Chief Evangelist at Health 2.0 NC Triangle from February 2016 to February 2018, focusing on health innovation and technology. Earlier in 2016, a role as Medicaid/Disability Specialist at Disability Determination Services involved evaluating medical claims. From February 2010 to July 2015, Jai Kumar worked at the YMCA of the Triangle, ultimately serving as Senior Youth Director, overseeing significant program revenue and fundraising. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Carolina State University.
