Serena Chin

Serena Chin has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Serena started their career as an Associate and Practice Trainee at RHTLaw Taylor Wessing in 2013 and continued there until December 2014. Serena then joined Shook Lin & Bok as an Associate in January 2015, where they worked until December 2015. In March 2016, Serena moved to Secura Group Limited as a Group Legal Counsel until January 2017. Following that, they joined Carousell in January 2017 as a Regional Senior Legal Counsel and took on the role of Head of Legal - Carousell Group in October 2019. Serena's responsibilities at Carousell include leading the Legal, Compliance, and Government Affairs aspects of the Carousell Group of Companies.

Serena Chin completed their Advance Cert in Governance, Risk, and Compliance at the International Compliance Association from 2017 to 2018. Serena then pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree at the University of Leicester from 2009 to 2012. Prior to their university studies, Serena attended Victoria Junior College from 2007 to 2008. In addition to their degrees, they obtained several certifications including Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) in 2021, Certified Information Privacy Professional / Asia in 2020, and Practitioner Certificate in Personal Data Protection in the same year.
