Valter Fernandes

Valter Fernandes has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as VP of Engineering at Carpe Data since December 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Tech Lead at Carpe Data from August 2019 to December 2020. Before their time at Carpe Data, Valter worked at Growin as a Nearshore Technical Team Leader and Software Architect from September 2016 to July 2019, and as a Consultant from February 2016 to August 2016. Valter's earlier experience includes working as a Business Intelligence Consultant at Novabase from October 2013 to January 2016.

Valter Fernandes completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Parallel programming, Functional Program Design in Scala, and Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera Course Certificates in August and September 2016.
