Ashley Wadhwani-Smith

Ashley Wadhwani-Smith is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in content creation and audience engagement. Currently serving as Senior Director of Content and Engagement at Carpenter Media Group since July 2024, Ashley previously held the position of Editorial Director at Black Press Media from November 2015 to July 2024, overseeing audience development across 80 publications in Canada. Ashley's earlier roles include Digital Content Editor and Multimedia Provincial Reporter at Black Press Media, and Coordinator at The Community News Collective, where focus was placed on community news and reporting. Ashley began in journalism with experience as a Staff Reporter for Thompson Rivers University's student newspaper, The Omega, and served as a CIS Webcast Host at Thompson Rivers University. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Thompson Rivers University and a Liberal Arts Diploma from the University of the Fraser Valley.
