Stephen Chance

Stephen Chance is a Social Studies Teacher at Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD since August 2023, following previous experience as a Senior Associate and Associate in M&A Tax at KPMG US from January 2021 to July 2023. Stephen served as a Research Assistant at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law from December 2018 to May 2020, contributing to legal research and writing for notable publications. Additional legal experience includes roles as a Summer Law Clerk at Farrow-Gillespie Heath Witter LLP, an intern at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, a Judicial Extern at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and a Summer Intern at the Denton County District Attorney's Office. Prior to the legal field, Stephen taught Advanced Placement World History and U.S. History at Garland Independent School District from August 2013 to June 2017. Stephen holds a Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of Texas at Dallas.
