Vardaan Gurung

Vardaan Gurung, PE, is a highly skilled engineering professional currently serving as the Development Operations Manager at Carson Power since October 2022. Previously, Vardaan held the position of Project Manager at Naval Reactors from July 2017 to June 2022, where responsibilities included strategic planning and managing a team for significant projects related to nuclear reactor dismantlement. Vardaan has also served as a Nuclear Engineer specializing in criticality safety, providing departmental training and oversight on nuclear safety. Early career experiences include internships at Northrop Grumman focusing on Guidance, Navigation, and Control, and a research assistant role at the MIT Space Propulsion Laboratory. Vardaan earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Engineering Science, Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
