Jeff Prater, MHA, FACHE, has extensive experience in healthcare management, currently serving as President & Chief Executive Officer at Carson Valley Health since 2018, focusing on adapting and growing a Critical Access Hospital to meet community needs while enhancing market share and profitability. Previously, Jeff Prater was a Hospital Administrator at SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium from 2015 to 2018, where revenue growth and service expansion were primary objectives, managing a large team of 420 employees. Prior roles include Hospital Administrator at Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital, where responsibilities included opening a new facility for remote communities, CEO of Granite County Medical Center, achieving notable grants and trauma status, and Director of Imaging Services at Kootenai Health, where patient satisfaction improved significantly. Jeff Prater holds a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from Montana State University Billings and a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Carson Valley Health (CVH) is YOUR COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, providing quality healthcare to the residents of Carson Valley, Genoa, Gardnerville, Minden, Topaz Ranch, and beyond. A joint partnership of Barton Health of South Lake Tahoe and Renown Health of Reno, CVH is a non-profit state accredited critical access hospital with 23 licensed patient beds.
