Nina Brown

Nina Brown currently serves as the Managing Fund Controller at Carta since January 2023, following a role as Tax Manager at KPMG, where the focus was on tax practices related to asset management and alternative investments. Prior to KPMG, Nina was the Business Owner of Nina Brown CPA from May 2017 to September 2021, and held the position of Controller at NLLC, where responsibilities included servicing private equity funds and related small businesses. Additionally, Nina served as Controller at Northwest Asset Management, overseeing accounting, finance, and compliance operations. Early career experience includes roles as a Tax Accountant at Hagen, Kurth, Perman & Co., P.S., where tax return preparation and financial consulting were key responsibilities. Nina holds a Master of Professional Accounting, Audit and Assurance from the UW Foster School of Business and a Master of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester.
