Sanjana Pukalay

Sanjana Pukalay is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Carta since October 2021, having previously held the position of Machine Learning Engineer II. Prior experience includes working as a Data Scientist I at Darwill from August 2018 to February 2020, where Sanjana developed predictive models, designed document classifiers, and created ETL & ML pipelines that significantly improved marketing response and ROI. Prior to Darwill, Sanjana served as a Data Scientist I at Innovizant LLC from January 2017 to August 2018, focusing on predictive modeling and strategic marketing insights that enhanced sales conversion. Sanjana began a career in academia as a Lead Associate Instructor at Indiana University Bloomington, where responsibilities included mentoring fellow instructors and developing Python programming course content. Sanjana holds a Master’s Degree in Data Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Osmania University.
