Vanessa Chin

Vanessa Chin is a seasoned professional in business development, currently serving as the Head of Business Development (Funds) for APAC & MENA at Carta since August 2021. In this role, Vanessa focuses on venture capital, private equity, private credit, and limited partner engagement while managing partnerships with various legal, audit, tax, and compliance partners. Vanessa also has experience leading partnerships and business development in the APAC and Middle East regions, assisting founders with fundraising and employee stock ownership plans. In addition to their work at Carta, Vanessa holds leadership roles in the Singapore FinTech Association as Chair of Women in FinTech and serves as an Ambassador for the Singapore FinTech Festival and GFTN Forum Japan. Previously, Vanessa co-founded Swim it Right and was involved as a Specialist Teaching Associate at The Learning Lab, while also founding and successfully selling SuperFresh Grocer. Vanessa's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from the National University of Singapore and international experiences in Silicon Valley and at Yale University.
