John Carter

Founder & Exec Chairman at Carter Funds

John Carter has a diverse work experience, with a focus on founding and chairing various companies. John started their career at Newport Realty Inc as a Founding Partner/CEO in 1990 and worked there until 2000. From 2000 to 2017, they served as Vice Chairman and Principal at Carter & Associates. John then became a Founding Director at GulfShore Bank from 2007 to 2017. In 2009, they founded CARTER VALIDUS MISSION CRITICAL REITs I & II and served as the Chairman until September 2020. In 2017, they founded Carter Multifamily and held the position of Founder & Chairman. From 2019, they also founded and served as the Executive Chair of Carter Exchange. Most recently, in 2020, they founded Carter Funds and is currently working as the Founder & Executive Chairman there.

John Carter obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University in 1982. John then pursued a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School, completing it from 1987 to 1989.
