Loraine Taylor has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. LORAINE started their career in 1988 with the WRAC Womens Royal Army Core, where they served as part of the Reserve Unit in the Military Transport section until 1990. Following their military service, Loraine worked at Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corporation from 1990 to 2010, where they held the position of Engineering Services Manager, overseeing aftersales technical functions for the US operation. Since 2010, Loraine has been with Carter Machinery, where they have held various roles including Technical/Training Manager, Power Systems Area Manager, Director of Corporate Development, Corporate Development Manager, and most recently, Vice President Organizational Development. Their work at Carter Machinery has involved responsibilities such as providing training and support to technicians and customers, managing parts and service operations, and contributing to corporate development efforts.

Loraine Taylor attended Byng Kenrick Central School in Birmingham, United Kingdom from 1982 to 1989. During their time there, they pursued Advanced Level Education (A-Levels) and studied English, Spanish, German, and History.
