Chris Heinz has a diverse work experience. Chris is currently the Director of People and Associate Experience at Carter Myers Automotive since 2023. In 2017, they founded their own company, Chris Heinz Co. Chris has also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at the Trinity Fellows Program since 2022. Previously, they held the position of Human Resources Business Partner at Penn State University from 2018. Chris also worked at EnergyCAP, LLC as a Strengths Trainer and Consultant from 2021 to 2022 and as the Chief People Officer from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they were the Chief Marketing Officer at EnergyCAP, Inc. from 2003 to 2016.
Chris Heinz earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Religion & Theology from Calvin University, where they attended from 1995 to 2000. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in various fields such as being a Highlands Certified Consultant from the Highlands Company, the Certified REALIFE Process® Facilitator from The REALIFE Process, the Certified iEnneagram Practitioner from Crossroads Soul Resources, the Certified Professional Life Coach from the Professional Christian Coaching Institute, the Gallup Certified Strengths Coach from Gallup, and the RightPath Certified Facilitator from RightPath Resources, Inc. Chris acquired these certifications in specific months and years, with the most recent being the Highlands Certified Consultant certification obtained in April 2023.

Carter Myers Automotive (CMA) is a family and employee-owned business serving Central Virginia since 1924. We have dealerships in Charlottesville, Richmond and Staunton, representing 17 new car brands with more than 3000 new and used vehicles in stock. In 1924, once the assembly line had changed the industry, we reincorporated as Petersburg Motor Company. Our first President was H. Carter Myers. He, his sister and his son kept the business going through the Great Depression and World War II. Our founder's grandson, H. Carter Myers III, joined the company in 1968 and we continued to grow. Today, the 4th generation of the Myers family is our President and CEO. The first woman to lead CMA, Liza Myers Borches has followed in her father's, grandfather's, and great grandfather's footsteps.
