Kim Maples MBA RN has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Kim started their career as an ICU RN at Citizens Memorial Healthcare in 2000 and continued in that role until 2008. During their time at Citizens Memorial Healthcare, they also worked as an RN Systems Analyst, where they supported hospital and outpatient nursing staff in utilizing the electronic health record system. Kim was responsible for building and implementing meaningful use clinical quality measures. In 2014, Kim joined Santa Rosa Consulting, Inc. as a Senior Consultant, specializing in Meaningful Use Stage 2. Kim managed projects and implemented various healthcare technologies. Currently, Kim is working at Carteret Health Care as the Vice President of Support Services/CIO. Kim is also serving as the IT Applications Manager, overseeing the implementation and management of IT applications within the organization.

Kim Maples earned their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Southwest Baptist University, which they attended from 1997 to 2000. In 2011 and 2012, they obtained the HIT Pro: Clinician/Practitioner Consultant Certification from St. Louis Community College. Kim furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from East Carolina University, which is expected to be completed in 2022. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Healthcare Technology Specialist Clinician/Practitioner (CHTS-CP) certification from AHIMA in July 2012.
