Farid Benmouffok

Farid Benmouffok is currently an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Carthage College since August 2025, having previously served as an Adjunct Professor at City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College from September 2024 to August 2025. Farid's experience includes a role as a Data Scientist and Data Research Analyst at the University of Chicago from March 2021 to August 2025, and as a Lecturer at North Carolina State University from August 2017 to December 2020, focusing on Calculus 1 and 2. Farid also contributed as a Graduate Research Student at North Carolina State University on NSF-funded research in convex optimization applications in machine learning, alongside roles as a Teaching Assistant for calculus and pre-calculus courses. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Mathematics from North Carolina State University, Master's degrees in Statistics and Data Science, and in Applied Mathematics from Pierre and Marie Curie University, where a Bachelor's degree in Pure Mathematics was also obtained.
