Mercedes Bidart is a Co-Founder and CEO of Quipu, a company dedicated to supporting informal entrepreneurs in Latin America, addressing the significant gap in access to formal loans within this sector. Currently, Mercedes serves as a Research Affiliate at MIT's Community Innovators Lab and is a Cartier Women's Initiative Fellow for 2024, focusing on empowering women impact entrepreneurs. Additionally, Mercedes holds a fellowship with The Global Good Fund and mentors at Vertical Labs LATAM, fostering community growth among entrepreneurs.
