Shigeru Takagaki

Shigeru Takagaki has a significant amount of work experience, with a strong focus on the luxury goods industry. Shigeru started their career in 1994 at A.P. Moller - Maersk, where they held positions as a Stowage Planner & Operations officer and later as a Mercantile (Maersk Logistics) / Assistant Manager, Supply Chain Management / Project Management.

In 1998, Takagaki joined Louis Vuitton Japan K.K. as a Logistics & Supply Chain Manager, and they continued in this role until 2001. Shigeru then moved to LVMH Fashion Group Japan K.K., where they held the same position until 2004.

Takagaki joined the Louis Vuitton company in 2005 and held various roles, including Logistics & Supply Chain Manager, Director, Direct Channels, and Regional Retail Director. Shigeru also spent time at the company's Paris headquarters, where they were responsible for Logistics & Supply Chain management in the greater Europe, Canada, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America regions.

In 2015, Takagaki joined Berluti as the Director of Retail, Japan, overseeing the entire Retail and Logistics operations in the country. Shigeru then joined Delvaux in 2017 as President & CEO, Japan, where they were responsible for designing and executing the overall business strategy, boosting local brand awareness, and successfully launching the company's e-commerce platform.

Currently, Takagaki is working at Cartier as the Retail Vice President, Japan. In 2023, they will transition into the role of Commercial Vice President, Japan.

Shigeru Takagaki attended Temple University from 1989 to 1994, where they earned a BA degree in Economics with a minor in World History. Shigeru also obtained a Certificate of Achievement in the Dale Carnegie Course INC-DCC-39 from Dale Carnegie Training in 2011.
