Indy Hurt is the President of the Cartography and Geographic Information Society. Indy has also held roles such as Vice President and Director on the Board of Directors. Currently, Indy is leading geospatial data efforts at Zillow Group. Indy has a strong background in GIS and data science, with experience in various positions at companies such as Gap Inc., Mapzen, and Apple. With a Ph.D. in Geography from UC Santa Barbara, Indy has also conducted research, provided GIS consultation, and taught GIS courses at various universities.
