Jessica Saxton has worked in various roles in the marketing and communications field since 2012. Jessica began their career as a Media Officer for the Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council in 2012. In 2013, they volunteered with VCD Nepal, working for the local newspaper Tourism Times Nepal and helping to establish social media and promotions. In 2014, they became a Media Officer for the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) where they were responsible for press liaison, social media campaigns, and providing media support during deployments. In 2016, they began freelancing, providing media and marketing consultancy for bespoke projects. Jessica also worked with Equine supplement organisation Stance Global, providing media consultancy, creating content, and assisting with design work. That same year, they also began working for the Queensland Department of Education as a Project Coordinator- Communication and Marketing, developing and implementing the state-wide parenting campaign The Early Years Count. In 2020, they became an Account Manager for Guerrilla, a digital and marketing agency based in Burleigh, Gold Coast. In 2021, they took on roles as a Marketing and Branding Specialist for JR Creative, a Marketing Strategy Manager for Molten Agency, and a Marketing Content Manager for CartonCloud. Jessica also became a Volunteer Marketing Strategy Consultant for The Australian Free School Limited.
Jessica Saxton completed a Marketing Week Mini MBA with Mark Ritson in 2021. From 2016 to 2019, they attended Deakin University and earned a Masters of Communication in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Mass Communication and International Journalism from the Queensland University of Technology in Communication and Media Studies from 2009 to 2011.
