Herbie Cans

Herbie Cans is an experienced animation professional currently serving as a scene prep supervisor at Cartoon Saloon since March 2024. With a long tenure at YesLand Studio as an Art Director and manager since November 2012, Herbie Cans has produced 2D and 3D designs, storyboards, and illustrations, alongside teaching animation and character design courses. Previous roles include character designer and lead clean-up animator at Cartoon Saloon, contributing to acclaimed projects like "My Father's Dragon" and "Wolfwalkers," which received an Oscar nomination. Additional experience includes character design for Dulaman Studios, lead clean-up artist at Gigglebug Entertainment, and a freelance career that spans over a decade. Herbie Cans has also lectured on visual development and animation at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Academic credentials consist of degrees in animation, business management, and Korean language studies.
